Walking and cycling routes
From Landsmeer you can make use of beautiful walking and cycling routes, so you can properly explore the beautiful Waterland or the Zaanstreek around Amsterdam. Nature reserve ‘t Twiske is within walking distance. Here are nice restaurants and cafes but also a beach for swimming or enjoying the sun. With the bicycles that can be used for free you can explore the area. It is also possible to rent electric bikes (right next to Casa Grande) and use them to visit for example Volendam, Marken or the Zaanse Schans. East of Landsmeer lies the Ilperveld nature reserve and tourist attraction. This National Landscape is special because of its beautiful nature and cultural history. This landscape is part of a Natura 2000 area. You will find numerous waters that are attractive to water birds. You can take a boat trip through the Ilperveld and walk on the quaking moor.
